Bill Aulsberry (1939 - 2017)

Bill Aulsberry was a great leader of the Irish Community in England. He contributed at every level from grass root organisations like the Waterford Association to umbrella organisation like the Federation of Irish Societies, later named Irish in Britain. He was a founder of the Haringey Irish Cultural and Community Centre and served on the committee for many years. As a community advocate Bill was fearless. At public meetings’ he would hold authorities to account. In full - flow he was very impressive and effective. As the gaelic phrase goes. Ni feicim muid a leitheid aris. We will not see his like again.
